    Grace comes to us in many forms. Several years ago, a small gray and white cat showed up at our door with three kittens. She was barely larger than her kittens and I was surprised she was a momma cat. She was obviously putting everything she had into raising her kittens. I put food and water out and this enabled her to wean her babies. She showed up like clockwork for breakfast and dinner. Although she didn’t let me pet her, she started communicating with me through “meows” and body language. She’d become playful after dinner, chasing grasshoppers and rolling over on her back.     Update on Snickers!

    Snickers arrived at PetSmart and within two hours, she was adopted by Lois, a woman who recently lost her cat of 13 years to a fatty liver. She’s retired and is home during the day and Snickers will be the only kitty in the house. Lois’ daughter came with her to pick out her new pet. Snickers now lives in Brazil, Ind., with Lois in a ranch-style, three-bedroom house. She spent her first few days scouting out her new home. It has a large sliding glass door from which she can peek out at the world and (virtually) hunt birds and squirrels. She’s even visited Lois at night on her…
