Blogging from A to Z: Reuse, recycle, ruff!
These two beautiful dogs were at this year’s Earth Day, compliments of the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Shelter located near Clinton, Ind. Their names are Stubby and Angel and their owner passed away. They are about 8 years old and are affectionate, loving, calm and just looking for the next “ms/mrs/mr right” to share their lives with. I got my cat at Kroger’s grocery store
When we can’t get to our locally owned grocery store, my husband and I shop at Kroger’s in north Terre Haute. Kroger’s offers you a discount on gasoline, based on your monthly in-store grocery purchases. We’ve been known to save 30 or 40 cents per gallon, easy. This summer a Sister of Providence that I work with told me she saw a black and white kitten at Kroger’s gas pumps the previous night. She talked to it as she filled her tank but it became frightened and ran under a wooden pallet piled high with wood for sale. She told us this story at a meeting because she knows that…

Update on Snickers!
Snickers arrived at PetSmart and within two hours, she was adopted by Lois, a woman who recently lost her cat of 13 years to a fatty liver. She’s retired and is home during the day and Snickers will be the only kitty in the house. Lois’ daughter came with her to pick out her new pet. Snickers now lives in Brazil, Ind., with Lois in a ranch-style, three-bedroom house. She spent her first few days scouting out her new home. It has a large sliding glass door from which she can peek out at the world and (virtually) hunt birds and squirrels. She’s even visited Lois at night on her…
