“L”ive worms
Have you wondered what people from other countries think when they come to the U.S. to visit?
We have signs that say “Live worms” or “Live bait.” Do we really think that it’s necessary to specify “live” in the signage? Is there ever a question that they might be “Dead worms” or “Dead bait?” Why not just put “Bait for sale…”
We have signs that say “Live girls” for “adult entertainment.” Do we really think we need to specify “Live” on the billboard? Would we truly get the wrong clientele if we posted “Dead girls?”
What about “Live entertainment?” I’m thinking that the concern would be the same as above. Totally different customers would come for a show featuring “Dead entertainment.”
“Live music”… You get where I’m going!
I know, these things are silly and dumb to think about. And, yet, we have these signs around town. Just sayin’…!
