Update on Snickers!
Snickers arrived at PetSmart and within two hours, she was adopted by Lois, a woman who recently lost her cat of 13 years to a fatty liver. She’s retired and is home during the day and Snickers will be the only kitty in the house. Lois’ daughter came with her to pick out her new pet. Snickers now lives in Brazil, Ind., with Lois in a ranch-style, three-bedroom house. She spent her first few days scouting out her new home. It has a large sliding glass door from which she can peek out at the world and (virtually) hunt birds and squirrels.
She’s even visited Lois at night on her bed. It looks like Snickers has found a wonderful home where she can receive and give much love. A special thank you again goes to the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society who facilitated her adoption at PetSmart. They have lots of cats (many of them kittens) who need spaying/neutering and, eventually, forever homes. They may also need assistance bottle-feeding the newborns so if you’re home during the day and would like to help, email them or call (765) 492-3540.
